Custom Requests

We are
happy to
do custom jobs! Quotes will be based on materials and time
required to complete the work.
PLEASE NOTE:
if the
customer supplies his/her own stone(s), our policy is as follows:
Sometimes a stone may have a problem that is not readily visible (such
as an internal fracture) and that only becomes apparent when attempting
to set it. Therefore, we will use a customer's stone WITH THE
CONDITION that WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGE DUE TO STONE
DEFECT(S). Also, our guarantee only covers OUR work--not the
customer's stone.
We will treat your stone(s) with the utmost TLC; however, in the event
that a stone is damaged due to reason other than stone defect, we will
make every attempt to replace it with a stone of equal-market
value. In the event that a duplicate stone cannot be found, we
will work with the customer to find an acceptable substitute--no
monentary compensation.
IN NO CASE WILL OUR LIABILITY EXTEND BEYOND THE FAIR MARKET VALUE OF
THE STONE
(e.g., no "emotional trauma" or other subjective criteria value).
We reserve the right to refuse any jobs that we deem undoable or any
stones that are too great a risk to set. We will not accept
stones worth more than $250.
Any designs by Matthew W. are automatically assessed at 2X the going
rate.

Repairs
Much of the same as stated
above is true for repairs. We are
happy to try to repair your item, and charges will be based on the time
and material required for the repair.
We are not liable for any damage due to a fault in the item to be
repaired (poor workmanship, brittle metals, lead-based or soft solders).
In the event of damage from other than item defect, our liabilty is
ONLY for the materials value of the piece, based on spot prices for
precious metals and fair market value for stones. Our liabilty
does NOT extend to collectability, emotional value, or other subjective
criteria.
